Onsemble Member has Poster at SAS Global Forum 2010

Onsemble member, Wing-Keung Chiu, a biostatistician at the UNC -  Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, presented a poster at the recent SAS Global Forum.

Available for download at the link below, This poster presents a method to extract data from the Oracle-based OnCore database system using SAS. The necessary SAS code to execute such a procedure is examined in detail. Pros and cons are also discussed. This poster is of interest to any data analysts (SAS programmers, statisticians, etc.) who are interested in the timely and accurate retrieval of important data stored in OnCore. This may be particularly important for data that may not be accessible through the BioStat Console, and therefore must be retrieved from OnCore’s “back end.”
